Adorable Acrobatic Monsters

It's nearly been a week since I brought the kittens home.
It's been a week since I met them at the Shelter.

Did you know kittens have no boundaries?
I go to the toilet and Kitten B wants to be involved. He thinks he's very helpful, rubbing his tiny body against my ankles and trying to reach my knee. Kitten A is more interested in shower time. More precisely, when shower time is over and he can try to catch stray droplets of water!

As for names, we're still arguing....

Kitten A is getting braver though. He's still hissing and my tail-wagging Dog but only when he thinks she's getting too close. We had a very close encounter over the last two days.

Kitten A was almost at the bottom of the stairs when he fell through the bannister. My dear Dog went to check if he was okay. He panicked  and hid under the stairs, hissing and bopping his paws about.

My Dog's a bit dippy. She thought this was friendly and tried to play. I picked up Kitten A (he seems to not like this) and the above picture was the result.
And that was just one hand....

When the kitten realised that there was no threat and I was assisting him, he clawed my neck like a good boy and went upstairs.

No animal injuries. First scratches.

At this point, it feels like cohabitation may be unlikely. But I also know that could have gone so much worse. And it hasn't even been a week yet! I remain hopeful. I'm quite attached now.

Yesterday, Kitten B discovered he could get onto another windowsill. I was about to go out when I realised he was playing amongst some of my orchids. I had to find new places for them all.

He was super unimpressed when he came back to find them gone.

How can a cat that usually looks so fluffy and cute suddenly look so pissed-off and angry!

I waved at him from outside as I left.
I think he thought I was mocking him...

They're getting more brave.

Last night they had a little accident in the Boss' bed, so at about 4AM I went back upstairs to sleep in my room and the Boss got up. My Facebook status from that night read, "Someone remove these adorable acrobatic toe-biters out of my bed."

The below object is no longer a clothes-horse...

It's a gymnasium.

I'd been avoiding washing clothes for just this reason.
But I'd run out of pyjamas.

My Dog often tells me when she thinks the Kittens are up to no good. Unfortunately both of us missed the fact they were tapping a new toy about.

Their new toy was an empty tube of germolene. (Nothing to do with me.)

I removed it promptly, sniffed their breath (regretted that one, Kitten A had obviously just eaten his plaice flavoured kitten food) and checked them over.

Kitten B has a small cut on his lip. It looks like he's bitten himself somehow with his teenie pin teeth!

She always has one eye on the stairs just in case of kitten arrivals. One time I had my pet rat Yuki on my shoulder and my Dog informed me Kitten A was showing a little too much interest

I think my rat actually weighs the same as Kitten B. He doesn't seem to be putting much weight on.

Tomorrow we have the delight of capturing the kittens and taking them to the vet.

So that will be interesting...

I'm quite tired today.

The Kittens are equally tired.

They had a busy night of biting toes and bouncing in my drying underwear. They particularly enjoyed my bras, as they had a slight spring.
