A Trip to the Cat Clinic
It's official!
The kittens have been registered at our vets and finally have names.
We got through a few first.
There were lots of awesome options. None of my suggestions were successful. Ninjin and Kyo didn't go down well at all. As for Jimin and Rapmonster…that just got blank stares.
So KittenA is BARNABY and Kitten B is PIPPIN. Also known as Barney and Pip.

They weren't very impressed when we put them back in the cat carrier. Barney was shaking again. I think he thought he was going to yet another new "home."
When we got to the Cat Clinic (we never use the "V" word-the Dog goes to the Doggy Doctor) they were both very well behaved. They ignored all the dogs that were there and enjoyed being told by several people that they were cute and adorable.
However, Barnaby took an instantdisliking to another pet owner and hissed angrily at her. I apologised but she wasn't bothered. Once he was with the vet, he was delightful.
Pip is younger than we were told (which was obvious but we needed it confirmed by the vet) and even she was surprised because both kittens look so similar. He's probably only about 11/12 weeks old now. Barnaby is about 4 months and has put plenty of weight on.
We had them flead again, Barnaby was still covered in flea dust. Pip was only just big enough for the treatment. After their injections they were given kitten packs. We decided to have them chipped when they're bigger because I remember how badly my dog cried as a puppy with that big needle.

Those people don't have to clean up their poop every morning...

I react really badly to bites.
I got bitten by a false widow once and my knee started folding over on itself. This was a three inch welt on my thigh...Luckily it was just the one!
I have to worm them in a few days time...that will be interesting!
They were very happy when we got back home.
They almost looked relieved.
Barnaby is definitely turning into a lap cat.
He likes people. He's also started watching me interact with my Dog and how I cuddle and kiss her and then do the same to him. Pip seems to be more attached to me. He's discovered my nose now and likes to give it a nip. I find this quite endearing because my old cat Frodo used to like myeyebrows.
The house Chauffeur say that the kittens don't like her.
I did warn her not to be silly around them...
Or maybe they just like me more because I feed and clean them.

I think I'm going to have to clear the rest of the windowsill...They're growing quickly! But they both love this spot because it's where the sun hits and warms up the tiles
It's been quite warm over the last two days and a bit stuffy at night. You know when you put your feet out of the blanket to air your toes?
Never do that with two kittens in the house.
They will appear from nowhere and treat your foot like a ball of catnip.
I don't remember going through this much cat litter when my last cat was a kitten (then again, I was 13 and this stuff bought itself). I'm having to clean the tray completely, every morning. Barnaby doesn't like this. He tries to grab his soiled litter as I take it away. Then he follows the bag. Finally, he sits in the tray and stares at me, flicking his tail.
Pip doesn't care.
He's the one making the most poop.
